BeXom grinding belts for stainless steel

BeXom grinding belts for stainless steel are specifically tailored to the requirements of stainless steel processing. Unlike steel processing, this process requires not only material removal but, above all, control, temperature stability, and a clean finish.

With a length of 2000 mm and available in widths of 50 mm, 75 mm and 150 mm, the belts fit common stationary belt sanders and cover applications from rough preparatory work to fine final sanding.

Grains and their applications

  • K24 – coarse grinding for massive interventions
Reliably removes thick oxide layers, rust, or heavy contamination. Particularly suitable when large surfaces or weld seams need to be exposed quickly.

  • K36 – Heavy material removal on stainless steel
Delivers high grinding performance and is suitable for shaping edges or quickly removing weld beads.

  • K40 – Aggressive grinding with a more uniform image
Transition between rough removal and controlled machining. Ideal for the first processing stage on stainless steel plates or profiles.

  • K50 – Universal for pre-grinding
Combines powerful stock removal with improved surface quality. Recommended for components that will later be finely reworked.

  • K60 – standard grit for everyday workshop use
Delivers a good compromise between stock removal and surface quality. Particularly suitable for weld seams and surface finishing in stainless steel construction.

  • K80 – Finer grinding for clean results
Produces a significantly smoother sanding finish. Suitable for visible surfaces and as an intermediate step before painting or coating.

  • K100 – Pre-grinding for a smooth finish
Optimally prepares stainless steel components for further work steps such as polishing or fine surface treatments.

  • K120 – Fine sanding for decorative surfaces
Creates a smooth, even texture. Perfect for stainless steel parts in visible areas or as a final sanding before polishing.
